    One of my favorite things about gardening was getting my hands dirty; I always preferred planting or weeding sans gloves. Not so much with cooking or messy crafts; I wonder, why the difference?

    I just feel so uncoordinated in gloves that I usually just dirty my hands up and then I realize that whatever I've dirtied them with is toxic/staining/flesh-eating/etc.
